Never buy golf shoes from the web sites! Each maker has a different last even for the same size. Since golf is the walking game you should try the shoes to see if they are comfortable. So go to the sports store , the pro shop, or the shoe stores all of who should carry golf shoes.. Do not get steel spikes because many courses no longer allow steel on their premises..Find the fit you like, the style and the price and good walking. See you on the course.

Reply:generally they do run the same size but for comfort I have gone to the next size up as I have wide feet. You can go to the nearest pro shop and they will custom fit a pair for you.

Reply:I can%26#039;t answer your question about where to buy the shoes but, yes they do run the same size as regular shoes. You do want to get shoes that have cleats that can be changed. I think they are called Quicklock.

Golf shoes are essential for keeping your balance in tight lies or just about anywhere on the course when you are swinging. Tennis shoes will damage the greens so they are not a good idea. I%26#039;m pretty sure that the school will probably require golf shoes so I would ask the golf coach. Good luck!

If you grab a pair of golf shoes off the shelf, and try to twist the soles, you%26#039;ll find theyre very stiff. This provides the support you need and keep you from killing your feet.
This might not be an issue for you now, since you are school age, but it%26#039;s something you will want to do in the future.

I also picked up a pair for my friend who plays golf reguarly and she likes them. I%26#039;m always shopping for bargains so I rarely pay full price for anything.

Having not worn metal spikes in several years, I can%26#039;t say I know the difference anymore.
As far as a preference of soft spikes, I%26#039;d have to say the Champ Stinger has my vote. In my opinion, they%26#039;re just as good as any metal spikes. Champ also makes a Pro Stinger version that has a small metal spike in the middle (made specifically for the European market).

whats the best way do dry out sopping wet golf shoes in less than 24 hours without damaging them.(leather is used in the shoes)

I%26#039;ve dried out sopping wet sneakers using a floor fan. I placed the sneakers directly in front of the fan with the opening facing the fan so the air can circulate inside the shoe. Not sure how well it would work on a golf shoe. I wouldn%26#039;t use heat because the leather may dry sooner than the rest of the shoe and then may crack or split. Don%26#039;t know if I helped. Good luck.

I would try it with an old microwave and an old pair of leather shoes first to see if it works. Make sure there are no metal parts, like spikes, on the shoes.
On the other hand, a South African named Cheslyn Swart has invented a %26quot;microwave%26quot; for sports shoes which cleans them and then dries them.

Go to you local sports store and try some on because just like regular shoes or sneakers you want to make sure you are comfortable. Nike makes some reasonably priced golf shoes (around 50 dollars) that should work just fine.

Apart from this, I would say the real key to finding ones that are the best for you is to find ones that are comfortable. Part of golf is walking 4 to 6 miles over a 4 hour period so it is very key to find something that doesnt hurt your feet. Everyone foot is different so try different brands to find the best comfort. Nothing could be more detrimental to your game than an uncomfortable shoe.
Otherwise, the amount of money you pay is like in any kind of shoe: the quality of the leather, the quality of the sole, the longevity of the material, alot of which contribute to how good looking the shoe is and not how it affects your golf game.
For me, I have always prefered Footjoy shoes from around 80 to 120 USD, or less if you find last years model on sale. I dont usually prefer Nike golf gear, but they have made a name for themselves making quality footwear so they are probably worth a look as well.
